विशाखापत्तनम: वाइज़ैग शहर की पुलिस ने जून महीने में सोना, नकदी, बाइक, मोबाइल फोन और 1.08 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की कीमती वस्तुओं सहित चोरी का सामान बरामद किया। शहर के पुलिस प्रमुख डॉ. शंखब्रत बागची ने बताया कि जून महीने में वाइज़ैग शहर में कुल 95 संपत्ति अपराध के मामले दर्ज किए गए थे। पुलिस ने 71 मामलों का खुलासा किया है, 84 संपत्ति अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया है, अपराधियों से 534 ग्राम से अधिक सोने के आभूषण, 700 ग्राम से अधिक चांदी के आभूषण, 1.16 लाख रुपये से अधिक नकद, 27 बाइक, पांच ऑटो-रिक्शा, एक लैपटॉप और तीन साइकिलें, तथा 470 (खोए और चोरी हुए) मोबाइल फोन बरामद किए हैं। सोमवार को आयोजित रिकवरी मेले के दौरान पुलिस ने चोरी की संपत्ति उनके असली मालिकों को सौंप दी।विशाखापत्तनम शहर में पिछले दो वर्षों में कुल 17 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य के 11,130 मोबाइल फोन (चोरी हुए और खोए हुए फोन) बरामद किए गए हैं। शहर में संपत्ति पुनर्प्राप्ति मेलों से कुल 10,279 लोगों को लाभ मिला है। आज की तारीख तक, पुलिस ने 24 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की चोरी की संपत्ति बरामद की है और इसे मालिकों को सौंप दिया है।पुलिस ने बताया कि भविष्य में अपराधों को रोकने के लिए उन्होंने एक बहुआयामी दृष्टिकोण लागू किया है और जून महीने में पूरे शहर में 203 सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए हैं, जिससे निगरानी क्षमता में काफी सुधार हुआ है। जून महीने में शहर में दर्ज कुल 95 संपत्ति मामलों में से, पीएम पालेम पुलिस ने 9 मामलों को सुलझाया और 14 अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया; द्वारका पुलिस ने 6 मामलों को सुलझाया और 6 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया; और अरिलोवा पुलिस द्वारा 3 मामलों को सुलझाया गया।विभाग ने आपराधिक गतिविधियों और रोकथाम रणनीतियों के बारे में जनता को शिक्षित करने के लिए जून में 204 अपराध जागरूकता बैठकें भी आयोजित कीं। पुलिस ने बताया कि दिन और रात के समय अपराध-संभावित क्षेत्रों में क्राइम टीमों के साथ विशेष गश्त की गई। आपराधिक और अवैध गतिविधियों पर नजर रखने के लिए अलग-थलग क्षेत्रों में ड्रोन से निगरानी (ड्रोन बीट्स) जारी है।
