# Boy’s body goes missing before police arrival in Anakapalli, later found in another location

The body of a 13-year-old boy that was initially spotted near the Varaha river under Etikoppaka limits in Yelamanchili mandal of Anakapalli district briefly went missing before being found again a few hours later.

According to the police, a resident who noticed the boy’s body took photographs and posted them in a WhatsApp group. On learning about it, police reached the spot but couldn’t find the body and launched a search in the surrounding hilly terrain.

During the search, the police noticed signs suggesting that the spot where the body had initially been found had been washed with water, raising suspicions of evidence tampering.

The body was later found in the foothills nearby. The police also found indications that the body had been cleaned with water. They identified the boy as a resident of Etikoppaka, alerted his relatives and registered a case of suspicious death.

Clues team personnel and a dog squad were pressed into service to examine the scene and gather evidence. Police said an investigation is on to ascertain the boy’s death and the reasons behind the disappearance of the body from the original location.
