Upgraded ‘Lakshmi Narasimha Marg’ Inaugurated Ahead of Giri Pradakshina in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam is gearing up for the annual Simhachalam Giri Pradakshina with major infrastructure enhancements. On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat and Visakhapatnam West MLA P.G.V.R. Naidu officially inaugurated the newly widened and upgraded 'Lakshmi Narasimha Marg.'
The newly developed 1.4-kilometer stretch connects NAD NSTL Vantillu Junction to Gopalapatnam Kumari Kalyanamandapam. The inauguration ceremony was graced by several prominent officials, including Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore and GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg.
### Project Cost and Infrastructure Details
To ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims and commuters, substantial financial resources were allocated to the project:
- **Road Development:** The 1.4-km roadway was upgraded and widened at a total cost of ₹7.21 crore. - **Road Stabilization:** An additional ₹4.49 crore was invested to construct a 770-meter retaining wall, ensuring long-term road stability along the route.
The completion of Lakshmi Narasimha Marg ahead of the auspicious Giri Pradakshina is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety for thousands of devotees participating in the annual spiritual event.
