Andhra Pradesh Emerges as a Premier Investment Destination, Says Collector M Abhishikth Kishore

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh is scripting an impressive economic growth story by rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for private investment across the country, district Collector M Abhishikth Kishore announced.
While unveiling the promotional posters for the upcoming AP Chambers Business Expo in Visakhapatnam on Saturday—scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13—the Collector highlighted the state's remarkable economic milestones. He noted that Andhra Pradesh secured 16 percent of the total private domestic investments in the country during 2024-25, subsequently increasing its impressive share to 25 percent in 2025-26. Describing this achievement as highly significant for a relatively young state, he emphasized that it clearly reflects Andhra Pradesh’s growing prominence on India’s industrial and investment landscape.
Driving Investment Momentum Through Progressive Policies Collector Abhishikth Kishore attributed this strong investment momentum to decisive leadership, abundant local resources, and a robust, industry-friendly policy framework. He informed that the state government has successfully introduced 28 new industrial policies within a span of just six months. These strategic policies comprehensively cover emerging sectors such as data centres, aerospace, defence, space, and semiconductors.
Furthermore, the state is actively exploring lucrative opportunities in rare earth minerals. This strategic focus is expected to further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s industrial potential while attracting high-value investments in advanced manufacturing and technology-driven sectors.
Transforming Visakhapatnam into a Model Industrial Hub Emphasizing Visakhapatnam’s pivotal role in the state's broader growth trajectory, Abhishikth Kishore reaffirmed the government's steadfast commitment to transforming Vizag into a model city through collaborative efforts and inclusive policy-making. He underscored the indispensable role that local industries and dynamic entrepreneurs play in accelerating industrial development and generating new employment and economic opportunities.
AP Chambers Business Expo 2026 Details P. Sobhan Prakash, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers) Visakhapatnam Zone, stated that the upcoming business expo will be held on September 11, 12, and 13. The high-profile event aims to bring businesses, industrialists, and key stakeholders together onto a unified common platform.
Echoing similar optimism, Federation State Secretary Subbarao Gupta noted that given the tremendous success of previous editions organized in Vijayawada, the Visakhapatnam edition is anticipated to receive an overwhelmingly encouraging response from the business community.
The poster launch event witnessed the esteemed presence of several key federation leaders, including AP Vice-Chairmen Pawan Kartheek and Sivakumar, Women’s Wing Chairman Srivalli, along with executive members Geetha Srikanth and Vani Bala.
